Let’s be real: when they see budgets and figures, most people tune out. But what if those budget decisions affect nearly everything you care about – from education and healthcare to climate action, from gender equality and human rights to global aid? 

Through this campaign, we want to amplify the lived experiences of local communities, workers, activists and civil society to show how EU funding shapes Europe’s foreign policy. We want to break down the EU budget into clear, accessible information that makes sense. By combining facts, stories, and expert insights, we aim to make the EU budget easier to understand, question, and engage with. The €1.8 trillion being decided right now will shape Europe until 2034. Will it fund hospitals or weapons? Support local businesses or corporate giants? Prioritize climate action or fossil fuels?

Solidarity, justice, and cooperation aren’t just words – they’re the founding values of the European Union, and the next EU budget must reflect it.
